## Data boundary

Document contents stay in the user's browser by default. Seller data, customer records, item records, uploaded CSV/XLSX source files, invoice contents, invoice designs, Brand Kit assets, and generated PDF/XML/ZIP files are not stored on the Invoice Builder server by default.

PayPal checkout and purchase-restore flows must not receive invoice contents, seller records, customer records, item records, uploaded files, generated files, template JSON, or Brand Kit assets.

## Output and format facts

The app can create PDF invoices and supported XML invoice files. It can also inspect supported rejected invoice XML files and hybrid Factur-X/ZUGFeRD PDFs in the browser by reading embedded XML and showing common structured fields such as BT-10 buyer reference, BT-19 accounting reference, BT-49 buyer endpoint, and BT-81 payment means code. Some countries have special invoice formats, so a generic invoice template is not always enough. Invoice Builder includes special invoice output paths for invoice families such as XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, Germany RECHNUNG, and France FACTURE where supported. Dedicated special-format PDF renderers and structured invoice formats may be selected automatically where the app supports them. These outputs are file-generation and diagnostic features, not compliance certification or submission to authorities.

A German seller should start from the Germany seller-country flow even when the buyer is in Italy or another country. A French seller should start from the France seller-country flow. Buyer-specific ERP rules, access points, Chorus Pro, SdI, Peppol, or government submission are separate workflows.
